Lanvin lets you be a girl in Capri

As summer promises to be hot again, we are allready diving up some freshness in perfumery world. Our first find: ‘A Girl in Capri’, Lanvin’s newest fragrance for women: fresh with a gourmand touch.

From the crystal blue water of the Tyrrhenian sea and the dark green pines near the cliffs to fuchsia bougainvillea blooms around whitewashed patrician houses… Lanvin has drawn inspiration from the rich colors and natural beauty of the island of Capri, channeling ‘A Girl in Capri’, a fresh new women’s fragrance with a gourmand touch.

The first impression of ‘A Girl in Capri’ is fresh but a few seconds later we start mouthwatering as the scent evoques also the spirit of fresh juicy fruits. Sweet and a bit of sour at the same time.

Developed by perfumer Sophie Labbé, A Girl in Capri opens with aromatic notes of Primofiore lemon essence, bergamot and a hint of pink pepper, revealing a heart of quite unknown white flowers of the grapefruit tree. The base brings notes of driftwood and white musk, giving the scent a soft and tender final. An incarnation of la dolce vita.

Who thinks of Capri also thinks of golden rays of sunshine of aromatic lemons and the gold jewellery of the jetset that loves to frequent the island. It does not come as a suprise that Lanvin chose yellow for the packaging. The fragrance bottle stands out with its sunny yellow shade and round shape with no harsh edges. The white lid with gold detailing contrasts with the bright lettering of the fragrance name. A treasure to keep in your handbag at all times.

‘A Girl in Capri’ is out now via Planet Parfum and independant perfumeries and will be available from May onwards at ICI PARIS XL and Galeria Inno. Available in three formats: EDT 30ml (€35), EDT 50ml (€49) and EDT 90ml (€69).
