Two Flemish highschool friends Jan Helskens and Wim De Veirman decided to create healthy non-stick pan alternatives, after they discovered that some non-stick pans can release toxic substances when overheated. 15 years later, they celebrate the succes of GreenPan.

GreenPan is a healthy choice in two ways. Firstly, GreenPan’s non-stick coating is PFAS-free, meaning it doesn’t contain harmful chemicals. Many other non-stick pans unfortunately do contain chemicals that can be released into your food when heated up. What’s the use of cooking healthy food if your pan itself is unhealthy? Secondly, you don’t have to use as much butter or oil in the non-stick pans. So your meals will automatically be less greasy.

You can’t be green enough
GreenPan tries to be as green as possible during the entire lifespan of the pans. During the production process, the non-stick layers are hardened in an oven over a low temperature to reduce the CO2 emission. All the pans also contain a minimum of 25% of recycled aluminium. During the delivery process, GreenPan uses as little packaging as possible. Nowadays, GreenPan is even launching pans that can be recycled more easily.
