Boucheron launches its new fragrance Quatre Iconic to celebrate the 18th birthday of its famous Quatre ring. Noses Ane Ayo and Pierre Negrin reinterpreted the first Quatre perfume into this eau de parfum, which carries the sweet and powerful scent of tuberose.

It all started in 2004, when Boucheron’s four-layered Quatre ring stole many hearts in the world of high jewellery. After that, Boucheron has created a succesful jewellery collection. To celebrate the success of their line, the French company created a Quatre perfume in 2015. They figured now was a good time to give their signature scent a makeover.
Added up, these layers come together in a powerful and sweet perfume that smells so elegant and rich that it complements the jewellery line perfectly.
Fruity with some spice
As top notes we distinguish mandarin, pink pepper and ginger in the eau de parfum. Mandarin adds a fruity note, whereas the pepper and ginger add some spiciness. The heart contains notes of tuberose, balsam of Peru and black berries. The white tuberose has a very distinctive smell that you either love or hate. It smells a bit like jasmin and honey with a carnal hint. The balsam of Peru is derived from trees and smells sweet and earthy. The base notes are cedar, patchouli and ambrox and give the perfume a warm and woody undertone. Added up, these layers come together in a powerful and sweet perfume that smells so elegant and rich that it complements the jewellery line perfectly.

Maison Boucheron has a rich history and loves to look back on old accomplishments. The company was founded in 1858 in Paris, at the Palais-Royal. But its big breakthrough was definitely the Quatre ring in 2004. The Quatre Iconic perfume bottle has a very recognizable cap: it consists of the four layers of the Quatre ring. It adds a unique and nostalgic touch to the flask. What better way to honor that iconic jewel 18 years later than by giving it its own new eau de parfum?
