Airbnb just introduced the new ‘Icons’ category in its offerings. This collection includes extraordinary lodging places linked to big names from music, film, television, art, and sports. Dream away in the house from the American animated movie Up. Stay overnight in the trophy room of the Ferrari Museum or hang out with American comedian Kevin Hart. Today, Airbnb unveils the first eleven Icons. More will be added throughout the year. So, stay tuned!

Would you like to sleep in the iconic Sala delle Vittorie (Hall of Victories) at the famous Ferrari Museum in Maranello? Tifosi are already drooling at the thought, and what’s more, you can try your luck at booking this activity specifically on May 6 for a stay from May 19 to 20 for less than €95 per person. Scuderia Ferrari ambassador and professional driver Marc Gené will welcome you for an overnight stay in the iconic Sala delle Vittorie at the famous Ferrari Museum. You will not only wake up in a bed made of the same fine, red leather as Ferrari seats, surrounded by the historic winning race cars of Ferrari and their trophies, but you will also enjoy several exclusive experiences:
• VIP tickets to the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix in Imola
• A culinary experience at the Cavallino restaurant in Maranello
• A fast lap around the Fiorano Circuit – Ferrari’s racing circuit – with driver Marc Gené.

We visited the trophy room set up for Airbnb in a preview, tested the bed, and believe us, the view and feeling when you open your eyes are sheer madness. Here in this amphitheater, the world champion Ferrari F1 cars from 1999 to 2008 are displayed in a fan arrangement, surrounded by more than 110 trophies and the nine original helmets of the world champion drivers. On the first evening of your stay, you will also dine at Il Cavallino, the restaurant opened by Enzo Ferrari in 1950, which today still embodies the brand with the prancing horse. There, you will enjoy a wonderfully creative cuisine under the guidance of the renowned Michelin-starred chef Massimo Bottura with traditional regional dishes, such as the delightful tortellini del Tortellante, with crème caramel made from 36-month-old Parmesan cheese, chives, and 12-year-old balsamic vinegar.
Icons have their own category on the homepage. All Icons cost less than $100 USD (less than €95) per guest, but most are even free. A timer counts down to the moment an Icon becomes available. Guests can submit a booking request via the app. Enthusiasts for a stay from May 19 to 20 can submit a booking request on May 6, 2024. The lucky guests who are selected will receive a digital golden ticket. In 2024, there are more than 4,000 golden tickets available, so people from all over the world get the chance to experience the magic of one of the Icons themselves.
