Last weekend, the 6th edition of WECANDANCE festival broke all visitor records. After a succesful first day with more than 19.000 visitors, WECANDANCE festival welcomed another 16.000 cowboys and cowgirls on the Zeebrugge beach on Sunday, making it the most succesful edition to date.

Loads of sun, beats and cowboy boots… the 6th edition of the electronic beach festival was definitely one for the books. The Acid Cowboys theme opened a world of new ideas, outfits, food, artwork and other treats. More than 35.000 visitors let their imagination run free, resulting in a beach filled with cool rangers and flamboyant cowgirls, enjoying high quality music in a true wild west setting.
Of course a lot af famous people were present as well.

Schweppes introduced a new variant of tonic based on matcha tea (which combines in a great way with tequila) and will introduce in December some ginger beer.Trying in preview the Schweppes ginger beer which tastes quite spicy.
WECANDANCE stands for quality music divided over 5 stages with 5 different genres. 11 stage partners co-curate a supremely well-balanced line-up with music ranging from house to slow dance to techno and hip hop. New this year were the stages hosted by Kompass, Extrema Outdoor Belgium and Klub Dramatik.

Every year, WECANDANCE takes its inspiration from the runway to come up with a specific festival theme and collaborates with mostly Belgian designers to create an inspirational collection. Visitors of the festival were encouraged to go full swing on the cowboy theme, which resulted in a beach filled with fierce rangers and cute cowgirls.
A feast for the taste buds
Aside a number of newly created treats in the Food Market, this edition also presented a brand new vegan area and a Taquería, serving gastronomic tacos by renowned chefs. As for the drinks, WECANDANCE takes pride in offering a vast selection of nearly 50 original cocktails to replenish the dancing crowd.
Countdown to the next edition
The 7th edition of WECANDANCE festival will take place on 10 and 11thof August 2019. Next year’s theme will be announced around March 2019. For regular updates, keep an eye on the website: www.wecandance.be
