The Fall/Winter 2025 collection by Wouters & Hendrix plunges into the salty, thrilling universe of sailors and cabin boys: “No mom, it’s not just a phase.”
Imagine yourself at the stern of a ship, the coastline vanishing rapidly from view. You’re bathed in blue: blue above, blue below, blue everywhere you look. Now picture a pair of Wouters & Hendrix earrings, bold and sensual like the coiled ropes scattered across the deck. Focus on the white buoys bobbing peacefully on the horizon, until they transform into a necklace of white agate pearls. Admire the heart-shaped ‘Mom’ tattoos of the crew, channeling the charisma of the old sea dog—tough, yet oh so tender. Close your eyes, touch your Faith-Trust-Hope-Grace ring, and listen. Do you hear the screech of seagulls, swooping just above the head of a cabin boy scribbling a postcard home?
As with every collection, the Fall/Winter 2025 line was preceded by extensive research. W&H immersed themselves in nautical worlds, exploring the materials, techniques, and imagery that define them. They delved into endlessly fascinating catalogs of ropes and knots, gaining the knowledge to reinterpret the ‘reef knot’ and the ‘bowline’ as jewelry in silver and gold-plated finishes. In the Antwerp atelier, the designs take their final shape: creativity and craftsmanship unite, and our goldsmiths transform each piece with the utmost precision into a unique jewel. Not only the prototype, but every individual piece is handmade by the artisans of Wouters & Hendrix.
