The MG Cyberster, a highly anticipated sporty electric convertible, impresses with its blend of classic roadster design and modern innovations. During a test drive at the Goodwood Circuit, the GT top version, boasting 510 hp, showcased its power with a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in just 3.2 seconds. This convertible is ready to shine both on the track and in everyday driving.

For years, we’ve eagerly awaited a sporty electric convertible with a decent driving range, and the MG Cyberster, from one of the world’s largest roadster specialists for decades, more than meets those expectations. It all starts with its revolutionary design. The combination of a distinctive long hood, a low nose, and sculpted surfaces pays tribute to the cherished roadsters of MG’s rich British heritage. Additionally, the Cyberster introduces striking new features such as wing doors and the Kammback design, with its abruptly flattened rear, improving aerodynamic performance.

We had the chance to push the limits of the GT top version, equipped with dual motors and all-wheel drive, during a few laps at the Goodwood Circuit, and we were thoroughly impressed. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, thanks to its 510 hp/375 kW power and the ever-available maximum torque of 725 Nm, delivered equally spectacular acceleration. The steering feels spot-on as well. The entry-level Cyberster Trophy ‘Extended Range’ version, with rear-wheel drive, a single motor delivering 340 hp/250 kW and 475 Nm, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds—more than enough for sporty driving in daily traffic. The 77 kWh battery offers a range of up to 507 km, although the GT’s extra weight slightly reduces that range. Pricing starts at €65,490 for the Trophy ‘Extended Range’. The ‘Extended Range’ designation suggests that a version with a smaller battery and a lower price could be on the way. The GT version is priced at €69,990.

The first 100 Cyberster customers will receive an exclusive set of ‘Racing Gloves.’
