Perched above the quiet elegance of Hôtel Faubourg 21, far removed from the rhythm of the city below, The Secret Garden by Kevin Lejeune reveals itself as one of those rare experiences whispered about rather than advertised.
This rooftop sanctuary, almost hidden from view, invites guests into a verdant world where nature quietly reclaims its place and gastronomy sheds convention. What unfolds here is not merely dinner, but a deeply sensory and intimate encounter shaped by season, setting, and story.
On select Sunday and Monday evenings throughout June and July, chef Kevin Lejeune curates a series of exclusive gatherings designed as personal encounters rather than traditional service. With no more than eight guests per evening, the atmosphere remains deliberately intimate, closer to a private salon than a restaurant.
Lejeune himself guides the experience, cooking, presenting, and sharing the inspiration behind each creation. The kitchen becomes transparent, almost conversational, as guests are drawn into the process. Formality dissolves, replaced by a sense of connection, between chef, guest, and plate.
The menu unfolds in four chapters, each evoking a fundamental element: Earth, raw and grounding; Water, fluid and refined; Fire, instinctive and intense; and finally, Softness, a lingering, delicate conclusion. Over the course of nearly two and a half hours, time appears suspended, allowing each moment to fully resonate.
Practical details reflect the exclusivity of the concept. The experience is priced at €220 per person, including beverages, with arrivals scheduled between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Reservations are limited to groups of four to eight guests. As the dinner takes place outdoors, it remains subject to weather conditions, and the integrity of the menu means it cannot be adapted to dietary restrictions or allergies.
