The New Rope Solar Watch from Tiffany & Co.

Tiffany & Co. introduces the Rope watch, a masterpiece inspired by an iconic Jean Schlumberger motif that fuses artistic elegance with cutting-edge watchmaking innovation.

A Tribute to Jean Schlumberger’s Legacy

Jean Schlumberger was one of the most celebrated and influential jewelry and watch designers of the 20th century. Over more than three decades with Tiffany & Co., beginning in 1956, he created unforgettable pieces filled with humor, playfulness, and joyful exuberance. The signature twisted gold motif of the Rope jewelry collection is reinterpreted in a timepiece that blends contemporary aesthetics with advanced horological technology. Defined by a timeless, concentric design, the watch is crafted in 18-karat yellow gold and offered with either a white mother-of-pearl dial or a glossy black dial.

Refined Details, Crafted to Shine

The wide bezel encircling the dial features two rings of polished gold rope motif, separated by a band of round brilliant diamonds. The mother-of-pearl version is paired with a Tiffany Blue alligator strap, while the black dial comes with a sleek black alligator strap—both designed for lasting elegance and sophistication.

Powered by Light: Solar Innovation

The Rope watch is powered by a new solar movement, developed and produced in collaboration with renowned Swiss watchmaker La Joux-Perret. This innovative technology—rare in jewelry watches and a first for Tiffany & Co.—delivers up to eight months of autonomous energy on a full charge.

Energy in Every Ray

Solar cells are discreetly hidden beneath the semi-transparent dials (either mother-of-pearl or black), allowing the watch to recharge naturally. Just two minutes of sunlight is enough to power the timepiece for a full 24 hours of use.
