Opening on April 3, 2025, at the UNESCO-listed Grand Place, this immersive exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience over 100 of McCurry’s most powerful large-format photographs – including the legendary Afghan Girl.

Who is Steve McCurry?
Steve McCurry is one of the most recognized and respected contemporary photographers. Best known for his evocative color photography, McCurry has documented global conflicts, traditions, and disappearing cultures with a uniquely human perspective.
His work has appeared on dozens of magazine covers, in hundreds of exhibitions, and in over a dozen books. The Afghan Girl, his haunting 1984 portrait of Sharbat Gula, became an iconic image worldwide when it appeared on the cover of National Geographic in 1985.

Practical Information
The Steve McCurry ICONS exhibition will run from April 3 until early September 2025.
The exhibition is open Wednesday to Monday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. During school holidays and public holidays, it will be open every day of the week, including Tuesdays.
The venue is located at Grand Place 5, 1000 Brussels, Belgium, right in the historic heart of the city.
