With seating for 72 guests, indulge in a tasting menu priced at €250 per person. Enhance your meal with a carefully curated wine pairing for an additional €180 per person.

Founded in 2005, The Modern is a perfect blend of Manhattan’s gastronomy and vibrant lifestyle. Located at the foot of the MoMA in Midtown, this two-Michelin-star restaurant delights guests with refined and unexpected dishes, showcasing exceptional ingredients and seasonality. It offers three distinct dining experiences: a constantly evolving tasting menu in the main dining room overlooking the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden, an à la carte option in the lively bar area, and an immersive tasting menu at the Kitchen Table in the heart of the kitchen.

Diners can savor the contemporary American cuisine of Chef Thomas Allan, enriched with French influences and complemented by an award-winning wine list. Allan’s Franco-American cuisine reflects his deep passion for French culinary arts, honed at renowned Relais & Châteaux establishments such as Eleven Madison Park and Per Se in New York, as well as at prestigious Parisian institutions.

The restaurant’s design, envisioned by Bentel & Bentel, is inspired by the Bauhaus movement—perfect for a venue within a modern art museum. With fluid glass partitions, the ambiance of each space shifts with the changing light, from bright natural daylight to a more intimate evening glow. The tasting menus enchant discerning palates with creations like knife-cut butternut squash, dry-aged duck with endives, and burnt bread pudding, all paired with a diverse international wine selection. The Modern offers a variety of gastronomic experiences in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
