Sauvage Pools unveils Compact Pool

As contemporary living becomes more compact and attuned to daily rhythms, Sauvage Pools introduces a new vision. Founded by Laurence Levrau and Koen Dehoorne, Compact Pool by Sauvage reimagines the swimming pool as a seamless fusion of architecture, technology, and refined luxury.

What began as a practice dedicated to bespoke, high-end pools has evolved into a broader reflection on how water integrates into modern living environments. Alongside expansive architectural projects, a new demand emerged: compact solutions that maintain the same uncompromising attention to detail and craftsmanship.

With Compact Pool by Sauvage, Levrau and Dehoorne present not a reduction, but a reinterpretation. The concept takes shape as a monolithic, impeccably finished concrete pool in which all technical components, from filtration to water treatment, are fully integrated. Each pool is constructed in-house and delivered turnkey, allowing installation to be completed in as little as three days.
Its compact nature extends beyond spatial efficiency. A deliberately reduced water volume, minimal hardscaping (eliminating the need for permits), optimized heating, and carefully selected materials result in a sustainable system designed for both daily swimming and relaxation.

The strength of Sauvage lies in the synergy between its founders. Koen Dehoorne approaches each project with technical precision and feasibility, while Laurence Levrau brings a refined sensibility for aesthetics, context, and sustainability. Together, they create a holistic vision where engineering and beauty are inseparable.

The concept matured over years of observation, travel, and dialogue, shaped by a keen understanding of how people live and unwind. Its first expression was realized in their own garden, where every detail was tested and perfected. Today, this vision is embodied in a patented system.
Entrepreneurship runs deep in their story. Levrau and Dehoorne previously transformed a former tobacco factory into Fabriek Botaniek, a creative hub that now houses Sauvage Pools. Their expertise in water treatment formed a natural bridge into the pool industry, where they have since delivered over one hundred projects.

With Compact Pool by Sauvage, they open a new chapter, not as a response to a trend, but as a considered expression of contemporary living: more compact, yet entirely uncompromising in quality.
