This special edition honors the Sakura blossom, which bathes Japan in a pink glow each spring, marking the pinnacle of the season.
Made with freshly picked Sakura blossoms at their peak freshness, the Roku Sakura Bloom Edition is inspired by Hanami, the renowned Japanese spring festival where people gather in parks to enjoy the vibrant but fleeting Sakura blossom season. The use of Sakura imparts an elegant, floral flavor with a hint of salinity to the gin, while the design of the limited-edition bottle brings the spirit of the festival to life.
On the palate, Roku Sakura offers soft and subtly sweet notes with a touch of salinity, balanced by the sweetness of cherry blossom, followed by a lingering finish.
To capture the essence of Japanese cherry blossoms, the petals are distilled separately from the leaves and then harmoniously blended. This results in a bright and inviting aroma of cherry blossom that evokes the freshness of a Japanese garden in spring. On the palate, Roku Sakura offers soft and subtly sweet notes with a touch of salinity, balanced by the sweetness of cherry blossom, followed by a lingering finish.
The label of the Roku Sakura Bloom Edition was designed by renowned Japanese washi artist Eriko Horiki. Horiki’s washi paper label, traditionally handmade from local fibers, features hints of pink and metallic tones that mimic the falling petals of the Sakura blossom.
