Ray-Ban and Meta are once again reimagining what eyewear can be. The two innovators are introducing a new generation of Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, now tailored for prescription wearers. A milestone that merges cutting-edge AI capability with timeless optical design.
Building on their longstanding partnership under EssilorLuxottica, the companies continue to expand a product lineup that has already blurred the boundaries between fashion, function, and technology. Alongside the celebrated Ray-Ban Meta and performance-driven Oakley Meta ranges, this next chapter brings fresh sophistication to everyday eyewear. The latest collection spotlights two new optical-first designs: Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics (Gen 2) and Scriber Optics (Gen 2). Each model balances refined aesthetics with remarkable comfort. Adjustable temple tips, ultra-flexible hinges allowing up to 10° of rotation, and interchangeable nose pads together create a fully personalized fit, down to the smallest detail.

Technology meets intuition through a newly integrated action button, instantly activating Meta AI for effortless access to shortcuts, quick voice interactions, and content capture on the go. Compatible with single-vision, progressive, and Transitions® lenses, these frames seamlessly adapt to changing environments without compromising clarity or style. Meanwhile, Oakley Meta expands its appeal with new colorways and the debut of Transitions® lenses on the Oakley Meta Vanguard. Paired with Prizm™ technology, these lenses promise enhanced color, contrast, and comfort, ideal for athletes and city dwellers alike.

In tune with Ray-Ban’s signature flair, limited-edition seasonal hues including Shiny Transparent Grey, Shiny Transparent Peach, and Matte Transparent Peach bring a playful yet refined update to timeless silhouettes like the Wayfarer, Skyler, and Headliner. Meta’s AI assistant also gains new talents. The latest software update introduces live translation in Japanese, Mandarin, and Arabic, as well as hands-free meal logging, nutritional tracking, and message summarization, all designed to make life smarter, simpler, and more connected.
Francesco Milleri, Chairman and CEO of EssilorLuxottica, described the launch as a defining moment:
“By innovating in AI glasses designed for prescription wearers, enhancing Meta AI capabilities, and expanding distribution, we are taking a significant leap forward.”

Across the collection, wearers can capture 12 MP photos and 3K video from their point of view, stream music via Spotify or Amazon Music, and engage in crystal-clear calls through a six-microphone system that minimizes background noise. Integration with Strava and Garmin adds another layer of utility for fitness enthusiasts.
The new Ray-Ban Meta Optics collection is available for pre-order in the U.S. starting today, with availability beginning April 14 at €469 through Ray-Ban stores, Ray-Ban.com, and select EssilorLuxottica partner opticians worldwide, including LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, GrandVision, and Vision Express. A global rollout to additional markets, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Chile, Peru, and Colombia, will follow later this year. This new generation of AI-driven eyewear doesn’t just refine vision, it redefines it.
