Piaget’s Warhol Watch

The Piaget Andy Warhol Watch, one of the most iconic luxury watches of the 20th century, made a striking return at Watches and Wonders 2025, reimagined in vibrant new designs that fuse artistic heritage with haute horlogerie.

Celebrated for its bold 1970s aesthetic and innovative spirit, the watch has now been officially renamed through a partnership between Piaget and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. This emblematic timepiece is a tribute to the legendary friendship between Yves Piaget and Andy Warhol—a relationship forged in the glamour of New York’s nightlife and the elite gatherings of the Piaget Society.

A Design Masterpiece Reborn

Originally launched in 1972 as reference 15102 and later known as the Black Tie Watch, the Andy Warhol Watch was powered by the trailblazing Beta 21 quartz movement. Warhol himself chose it as one of his most beloved timepieces—an avant-garde design with a 45mm case and sculptural gold gadroons that wrap elegantly around the bezel.

This collector’s watch stands today as a symbol of Piaget’s legacy in blending design innovation with artistic expression. With its bold proportions and unmistakable form, it’s more than a watch—it’s a statement.

“The world to me is like an opal, made of different tastes and colours.” – Yves Piaget

One of the highlights at Watches and Wonders 2025 is the latest High Jewellery Andy Warhol Watch, a masterpiece that takes luxury watchmaking to new heights. Featuring a radiant opal dial alive with iridescent blue and green hues, the watch is framed by a dazzling triple row of baguette-cut blue sapphires.

This opal and sapphire watch exemplifies Piaget’s craftsmanship in colour and gemstone selection. Opal—Yves Piaget’s favorite stone—symbolizes purity, passion, and individuality. It’s a rare feat to find a gemstone of this size and brilliance, and even rarer to surround it with such perfectly matched sapphires. The result: a luxury jewellery watch that fuses high horology with couture elegance.

Tiger’s Eye Edition: Where Nature Meets Elegance

Another standout is the new Andy Warhol Tiger’s Eye Watch, part of Piaget’s celebrated ornamental stone watch collection. This edition features a dial cut from richly banded tiger’s eye, a gemstone with warm amber tones and shimmering golden chatoyancy.

Powered by the in-house 501P1 self-winding mechanical movement, this version showcases Piaget’s mastery in combining natural materials with precision Swiss watchmaking. It joins other stellar variations including the Blue Meteorite Clou de Paris edition and models with green and white meteorite dials.

Collectors can now personalize their Piaget Andy Warhol Watch through an exclusive made-to-order experience, choosing from:

  • 10 ornamental stone dials
  • 5 leather strap colors
  • 2 hand styles: baton or dauphine
  • White gold or rose gold cases

This makes each watch not just a luxury timepiece, but a personal artistic statement.
