On the Road Again is a collective exhibition curated by David Merveille, bringing together over forty artists who explore the theme of travel and departure. Through drawings, paintings, and illustrations, the exhibition takes visitors on a poetic journey that blends reality and imagination—an invitation to escape the everyday and rediscover the freedom of the open road.
This summer, Huberty & Breyne gallery invites you on a grand journey with On the Road Again, a group exhibition centered around the universal theme of departure. From 20 June to 19 July 2025, more than forty artists—both established names and emerging talent—will share their unique visions of travel, somewhere between reality and imagination.

A free and multifaceted escape
Each destination becomes a new work, each line opens a new adventure. The artists traverse the mythical Route 66, forgotten gas stations, deserted backroads, and lunar landscapes. Whether traveling in a Fiat 500, on a bicycle, or even in a shoe-shaped car, the roads they follow are both familiar and fantastical. What unites them is the freedom to explore the idea of departure in their own way and the invitation to break free from the everyday.

When art hits the road
This shared road trip explores our relationship with movement, freedom, and memory, through themes such as escape, return, the search for another place, or the simple need to stay in motion. The exhibition presents a diverse selection of drawings, paintings, and illustrations, offering a rich spectrum of emotions, techniques, and sources of inspiration.

An emotional and surprising journey
The exhibition highlights the richness of a collective gaze and the diversity of techniques, formats, and styles. Through drawings, paintings, and illustrations, the artists take the audience on a journey full of emotion, surprises, and imagination.
