On August 22, 2025, the Wanda Diamond League arrives in Brussels for one of the highlights of the international athletics season: the Memorial Van Damme. Once again, Swiss watchmaker Omega will serve as the official timekeeper, equipped with precision technology capable of recording every hundredth of a second.
As a key partner of the Diamond League—a prestigious series spanning four continents and thirteen countries—Omega supports the world’s leading athletes on their journey to the grand final in Zurich on August 27 and 28, 2025.
Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of Omega, explains:
The Diamond League embodies everything Omega stands for: precision, power, and top performance. We are proud to represent these values on Belgian soil and to support athletes, officials, and spectators with our technology.

Omega has been the official timekeeper of the Diamond League since 2010, but the brand’s connection to athletics goes back much further. As early as 1932, Omega provided the timekeeping system for the Olympic Games. Over the past 90 years, the brand has developed some of the most reliable and respected measurement instruments in sport. From electronic starting pistols to photo-finish cameras, every moment at the Memorial Van Damme is meticulously recorded. Thanks to this technological precision, top performances are registered objectively and flawlessly—exactly as it should be when titles are at stake.
