Few names are as closely intertwined with Belgian chocolate heritage as Neuhaus, the inventor of the praline. Now, the storied maison enters a new chapter with the launch of Sensation, its first fully vegan praline within the iconic Irrésistibles collection.
For generations, Neuhaus’ signature triangular Irrésistibles have embodied artisanal excellence: delicately folded nougatine biscuits, hand-filled and enrobed in fine Belgian chocolate. With Sensation, this emblematic creation is reinterpreted for a modern audience, offering a plant-based expression that preserves the house’s uncompromising standards of craftsmanship and flavor.
The introduction marks a significant evolution for the brand. Following the successful debut of its vegan range in 2024, Neuhaus sought to integrate plant-based innovation into its most recognizable line. Achieving this, however, required meticulous refinement. From texture to taste, every element had to meet the maison’s exacting criteria, a challenge that pushed its chocolatiers to rethink tradition without diluting its essence.
The result is a praline that feels both contemporary and unmistakably Neuhaus. At its core lies a layered sensory experience: a crisp nougatine base coated in rich dark Belgian chocolate gives way to a velvety vegan ganache. Bright notes of kalamansi, a citrus fruit prized for its vibrant acidity, cut through the intensity, creating a composition that is at once elegant, fresh, and nuanced.
To accompany the launch, Neuhaus introduces Summer Irrésistibles, a limited-edition collection designed as a seasonal celebration. The assortment pairs Sensation with Frisson, a beloved classic infused with lively yuzu. Together, they form a refined dialogue between citrus brightness and deep chocolate richness, an interplay that feels both sunlit and timeless.
Presented in vivid packaging inspired by kalamansi and yuzu, the collection evokes the ease and radiance of summer, translating it into a tactile, indulgent experience. Sensation pralines and the Summer Irrésistibles box will be available from June 15 in Neuhaus boutiques and online.
