This summer, the ‘cocina de Uruguay‘ takes up residence at Maison Natan to celebrate the sunny season. Until 23 August, Belgian fashion designer Édouard Vermeulen and Uruguayan chef Edgar Carrasco reunite to offer a unique blend of couture and cuisine. So make your reservation and Vamos a picotear – let’s have a bite!
For over 15 years, Edgar Carrasco has delighted Belgian gourmets through his Brussels-based catering workshop, bringing South American culture to life with recipes adapted to refined European palates. His buffets are spontaneous, convivial, and a celebration of skillful, light-handed cooking. This summer you can again enjoy his delights in the Natan boutique’s charming garden in Knokke.

Indulge in traditional empanadas — golden, flaky pastries filled with premium Uruguayan and Argentine beef, tender poultry, or vibrant vegetarian flavours. Whether you prefer a cup of tea or a glass of champagne, the tasting room offers a warm welcome to these small delicacies that embody the heart of Uruguayan cuisine. Chef Edgar himself will be present, ready to share his inspirations, meet fellow food lovers, and offer a glimpse into the colours of his own horizon — all captured in a single, unforgettable bite.
