Montblanc Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days

The final chapter of the Montblanc Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection brings Jules Verne’s timeless story full circle. Inspired by the 36-day return journey from Yokohama to London via the United States, this edition pays homage to the elegance of 19th-century travel and the spirit of fearless exploration.

Each writing instrument and accessory in the collection celebrates the extraordinary voyage of British gentleman Phileas Fogg and his loyal valet Passepartout as told in Verne’s iconic novel. From steam to sentiment, every detail captures the wonder of an 80-day race around the world.

Design Inspired by Steam, Speed, and Storytelling

The third and final instalment includes four limited editions featuring design elements drawn from Fogg’s transcontinental return by train across North America.

  • The cap design features a pattern inspired by swirling locomotive steam.
  • Two engraved pressure valves echo those found in old train engine rooms.
  • A train cartouche is finely lasered onto the cap, and the cone features rivets and chains—symbolising the physical link between train cars.
  • The clip bears a red lacquered heart, symbolising both Fogg’s love for Princess Aouda and the card game bet that started his global race.
  • The handcrafted gold nib is engraved with a hot air balloon, honouring Verne’s Five Weeks in a Balloon, and includes the start and end dates of Fogg’s final voyage.
  • On the cap top, “80” signifies the planned trip duration, while “36” reflects the actual days from Yokohama to London.

Four Editions: Where Craft Meets Narrative
