As Formula 1 and LVMH embark on a groundbreaking ten-year partnership, Moët & Chandon is delighted to return as the official champagne of the sport. With more than 280 years of excellence in the art of champagne-making, the House has long been a part of the most unforgettable celebrations in motorsport—moments of triumph, unity, and pure emotion.

Since 1950, Moët & Chandon has been present in the celebrations of legendary champions such as Sir Jackie Stewart, Ayrton Senna, Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Mika Häkkinen, and Michael Schumacher. Every cork pop and every sparkling spray of champagne symbolizes the culmination of relentless dedication and collective passion. As Formula 1 marks a milestone, Moët & Chandon proudly returns to the podium, ready to create new moments of shared joy and celebration.
The podium ceremonies will once again come to life with Moët & Chandon as the top three drivers and the winning constructor team celebrate their success. Additionally, the House will play a prominent role as the Title Partner of the Formula 1 Don’t drink and drive Moët & Chandon Belgian Grand Prix 2025, a race of special significance to the champagne house.
A Special Bond with Spa-Francorchamps
The Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps is more than just a race—it is a cherished event deeply rooted in the history of both Formula 1 and Moët & Chandon. Situated in the heart of the Ardennes, Spa is the closest Grand Prix to the terroir of the Champagne region, making it a natural home for the House. Known for its legendary corners, unpredictability, and breathtaking scenery, Spa remains one of the most beloved circuits among both Formula 1 drivers and fans.
Spa-Francorchamps was also part of the very first FIA Formula 1 World Championship™ calendar in 1950, a race won by the legendary Juan Manuel Fangio on June 18 of that year. Just two weeks later, Fangio triumphed again at the French Grand Prix, held at the Reims-Gueux circuit in the Champagne region—a historic race attended by two passionate local motorsport enthusiasts, Paul Chandon-Moët and his cousin, Count Frédéric Chandon de Briailles. After the race, they welcomed Fangio to Château de Saran, the Moët & Chandon estate, for a symbolic toast in honor of his victory.
This deep connection between Moët & Chandon and Formula 1 underscores the House’s enduring bond with the sport—rooted in passion, excellence, and the joy of shared triumphs.

A Legacy of Celebrating Collective Emotion
Moët & Chandon’s history with motorsport dates back even further, to 1936, when Tazio Nuvolari, after winning the Vanderbilt Cup, drank champagne from a Jeroboam of Moët & Chandon. However, in 1967, the iconic champagne spray tradition was born. After winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Dan Gurney received a Jeroboam of Moët & Chandon and, in a spontaneous moment of pure joy, shook the bottle and sprayed the crowd—unknowingly creating a tradition that would spread across the sporting world.
From the legendary Golden Magnum Trophy in 1977 to the Jeroboams signed by racing greats between 1991 and 1997, Moët & Chandon’s legacy in Formula 1 is one of innovation, camaraderie, and shared triumphs.
Celebrating the Spirit of Unity
This return is more than just a celebration of victories; it is a tribute to the incredible collective spirit that drives Formula 1—the drivers, the teams, and the millions of passionate fans who experience every thrilling moment together. Moët & Chandon is proud to be part of this extraordinary journey once again, raising a glass to teamwork, perseverance, and the pursuit of greatness.
As Moët & Chandon once again takes its place on the podium, the House looks forward to inspiring new moments of passion, bringing people together in celebration, and toasting to the victories of today and tomorrow.
