Moët & Chandon, the iconic French champagne house founded in 1743, proudly announces its latest collaboration: The Moët & Chandon Pharrell Williams Limited Edition Collection centered around the joy of celebrating birthdays.

Driven by shared values of collective spirit, optimism, and human connection, Moët & Chandon and Pharrell Williams have come together to reimagine the birthday experience through the eyes of those who celebrate you. The Maison and Pharrell’s vision of collective joy is at the heart of this collaboration, focusing on creating unforgettable moments that are both universal and deeply personal, where every detail honors those who gather to celebrate.
Every day, 22 million people around the world celebrate their birthday—a ritual filled with joy and gratitude from those who make the occasion special. Whether or not you enjoy celebrating your own birthday, we all love celebrating the people we cherish. It’s not about the gift but about who gives it. Not about the party but about who attends. And it’s not about the bottle but about who you share it with.
“The best part of a birthday is the people who want to celebrate it with you,” says Pharrell. “When I was old enough to toast with champagne, Moët & Chandon was my reference. It’s just a tradition, a ritual.”
The Moët & Chandon Birthday Tradition
For generations, Moët & Chandon has been the champagne of choice for birthday toasts. The House has celebrated milestone birthdays with royalty and cultural icons across music, sports, and film. Legendary actor Paul Newman toasted his 40th birthday with Moët & Chandon in 1965, actress Scarlett Johansson celebrated her 30th birthday with her twin brother Hunter in 2014, and Roger Federer regularly toasts his birthday at home with family and friends. And the list goes on…
The Collaboration: Design & Offerings
To create a unique and distinctive design for everyone’s birthday, Moët & Chandon and Pharrell Williams explored the House’s archives and discovered that what is now the iconic necktie on the bottle was originally a bowtie in 1889. A symbol of togetherness, generosity, joy, and surprise, the bow is a key design element of this Limited Edition Collection, which ranges from an exquisite Jewel Masterpiece to the Bow Capsule and the Limited Edition products:
The Limited Edition:
Brut Impérial (Gold, Blue, and Red) – 75cl
The box and neck of Moët & Chandon’s most emblematic champagne, Brut Impérial, are adorned in gold, midnight blue, and deep red. Pharrell signs his creations with white dot lettering resembling pearls on the box and directly on the bottle. He also transforms the bottle’s red royal seal into a pearl monogram of his initials, PW, interwoven into a circular design.

The Bow Creation:
Grand Vintage Collection 2003 (Black) & Brut Impérial (Midnight Blue) – 1.5L Magnum
The Bow Capsule features an oversized fabric bow embroidered with pearl beads, crafted by Parisian embroidery atelier Baqué Molinié. The bow is detachable and can be worn as a brooch. For the Grand Vintage Collection 2003 Magnum, styled in black, Cellar Master Benoît Gouez selected this special vintage to honor the memories of Pharrell’s 30th birthday celebration. Available only in limited quantities and not for sale to the public.
The Jewel Masterpiece:
Brut Impérial – 3L Jeroboam
The Jewel Masterpiece is a bold statement of French elegance, with only 30 numbered pieces crafted by hand in France. A mirrored chrome finish covers the bottle’s surface through a specialized industrial process. Artist Astrid de Chaillé adds handwritten lettering with 89 embossed pearls painted onto the surface, creating a three-dimensional effect. A luxurious oversized pearl bow adorns the bottle’s neck, requiring 300 hours of handcrafting and 7,310 pearl beads, also created by Atelier Baqué Molinié. The bow is detachable and can be worn as a brooch, designed to be admired. The Jewel Masterpiece is presented in a Midnight Blue wooden case, embellished with Pharrell’s handwritten signature, also crafted by Astrid de Chaillé, who applied a pearlescent finish to the embossed design. Only 30 numbered Jewel Masterpieces are available, priced at €30,000, and can be purchased through the Moët Hennessy Private Sales service, at the Epernay boutique, and select Moët & Chandon Bars.
