This April, Swatch celebrates the annual appearance of the Pink Moon with the Bioceramic Moonswatch Mission to the Pink Moonphase. Fans will be able to purchase this unique timepiece starting April 1, for a limited time only and exclusively at selected Swatch stores — especially those featuring a miniature pink Rolling Planet.
This year, April’s Pink Moon comes with a twist: it’s also a micro moon, meaning it appears slightly smaller and dimmer in the sky as it reaches the farthest point in its orbit around Earth. This contrasts with last August, when the full moon was at its closest point to our planet and appeared larger than usual — a celestial event celebrated with the Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase.

Radiant Design
Unlike April’s micro moon, however, the Mission to the Pink Moonphase will shine brightly, revealing a world of captivating details and stunning pink hues. In addition to a chronograph function, the watch features a moonphase indicator at the 2 o’clock subdial, set against a black and silver-pink opaline dial. The moonphase includes two pink moons that glow pink in the dark as they rotate beneath the silver-pink opaline mask, thanks to their Super-LumiNova® coating. When exposed to UV light, a hidden detail appears on the moonphase mask. Just like the Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase, the black Bioceramic bezel of the Mission to the Pink Moonphase includes a pulsometer scale with white opaline markings.

Heartbeat Feature
The pulsometer, typically found on sports chronographs, is a special feature that allows for easy heart rate measurement. To use it, start the chronograph when you feel a pulse beat. After 30 beats, stop the chronograph and use the pulsometer scale on the dial to determine the heart rate in beats per minute (BPM). A playful detail: the pusher at 2 o’clock features a small embossed heart — a new design element referencing the pulsometer.
Innovative Materials
Like all models in the Bioceramic Moonswatch collection, the Mission to the Pink Moonphase is made of Bioceramic — the innovative, patented blend of two-thirds ceramic and one-third biosourced material derived from castor oil. It also features many of the iconic elements of Omega’s legendary Speedmaster Moonwatch, including the asymmetrical case and signature recessed Speedmaster subdials.
Stylish Details
The Omega x Swatch logos are proudly displayed on the dial and crown, while the mission name is engraved on the caseback of the pink case. The battery cover showcases a moon in a stunning range of pink tones, while a pink Velcro strap — space-suit ready — adds the final touch of astronaut chic.

Cosmic Hunt
Anyone hoping to get their hands on the Mission to the Pink Moonphase will need to do a bit of cosmic exploring, as April’s micro moon has worked its moon magic on the Rolling Planets too. The theme cars known for their global tour with the Moonswatch collection have been miniaturized and will now “travel” to the selected Swatch locations selling this one-of-a-kind watch.
Stay Tuned
Fans should keep their eyes on Swatch’s social media channels, where the Rolling Planets will reveal where the Mission to the Pink Moonphase can be found — before it disappears into cosmic eternity like the Pink Moon itself. As with the entire Bioceramic Moonswatch collection, only one watch per person, per day, and per Swatch location may be purchased.
