Le Parfum de Nathalie, the luxurious Belgian fragrance brand founded by Nathalie Baeten – Coucke, recently marked its fourth anniversary with an exclusive event at the five-star La Réserve hotel resort. The celebration included the launch of the Nathal Body Care line and Nathal flame-resistant textile covers, designed in collaboration with Jean-Philippe Demeyer. This addition gives the collection a touch of “Knokke” flair.
How do Nathal and Le Parfum de Nathalie relate to each other?
NB: “Le Parfum de Nathalie is the range we started with. Now, after launching Nathal 02/le parfum last year, we’re introducing the Nathal Body Care line, which includes shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap, and body lotion. We’ve kept the popular scent of Le Parfum de Nathalie but updated the formula and redesigned the look and feel with a younger, nature-inspired style to fit perfectly into holiday homes or more modern interiors. Additionally, the Nathal flame-resistant textile covers, designed in collaboration with Jean-Philippe Demeyer, bring a fresh, summery touch to our home fragrance collection. Sustainability was also an important focus. We’ve been awarded the ‘We Care About Earth’ label, as all products are made from 100% recycled materials, bio-sugarcane, and are 100% recyclable.”
How did the collaboration with Jean-Philippe Demeyer come about?
NB: “Jean-Philippe Demeyer is a renowned designer and interior stylist with whom I’ve previously collaborated on interior projects. As you know, fashion and interiors are passions of mine. When I came up with the idea of adding covers to my home fragrance collection, I approached him. With Jean-Philippe, I was confident of having high-quality, stylish materials with a fun design.”
Why the covers?
NB: “The covers complement the international expansion of our Nathal Body Care line. We’re now available in more countries, with orders even coming in from far outside Europe. Our Classic line, which started it all, is entirely in black and gold. While it suits any interior, you might be less inclined to place a black candle on your lounge table in the summer. The new covers provide a summery alternative and more options. You can purchase them once with the candle or fragrance sticks and then reuse the cover forever. They’re perfect for creating a summery, southern Ibiza vibe.”
What makes the covers special?
NB: “They’re a 100% Belgian product, woven with a modern version of our logo incorporated. They’re also fully flame-resistant, so you can safely burn candles without any issues. The colors are inspired by Ibiza, an island we love and where we launched our Nathal Body Care line internationally, featuring top model Cesar Casier as the face of Nathal. The blue represents the color of the sea and sky, while the beige reflects the sand and rock structures of the island. Perfect for giving your interior that extra summer touch.”
