Discover the story behind Laurent-Perrier’s Héritage cuvée, a masterpiece rooted in the legacy of Grand Siècle’s renowned craftsmanship. This exceptional Champagne blend, crafted from reserve wines of the finest Crus, showcases the house’s commitment to precision, elegance, and the art of blending.
In 1948, Bernard de Nonancourt took the helm of Laurent-Perrier with a visionary idea: to create a unique Champagne cuvée, Grand Siècle. Unlike other prestige cuvées, Grand Siècle is not tied to a single vintage but is instead based on the art of blending, aiming to recreate the perfect year that nature could never provide. De Nonancourt began building a reserve wine library from the finest origins and vineyards, shaping the house style known for its purity, freshness, and elegance.
The first edition of Grand Siècle was born in 1959, blending wines from 1955, 1953, and 1952. This legacy draws from the unparalleled expertise of Grand Siècle and Laurent-Perrier’s ability to develop an extensive collection of reserve wines. This heritage allows the Maison to craft even more precise and complex Champagnes today.
Tasting the reserve wines reveals the diversity of Champagne’s terroirs and soils, highlighting their aromatic complexity and aging potential. Héritage is a unique blend composed exclusively of reserve wines, a testament to Laurent-Perrier’s commitment to excellence.
Laurent-Perrier continues to innovate, now offering the Héritage cuvée in the Maison’s signature bottle, shared with Cuvée Rosé, Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature, and Brut Millésimé, reflecting the timeless elegance of the brand.
