Discover The Whiplash Line – an Art Nouveau scarf inspired by Victor Horta’s architectural masterpiece in Brussels.
In the heart of Brussels’ Saint-Gilles district, architect Victor Horta designed his iconic Art Nouveau home and studio. A visit to this architectural masterpiece and the discovery of the “whiplash line” inspired Tienen-based designer Pierre Marie to craft a scarf that captures the elegance of Art Nouveau’s organic forms.
From a bird’s-eye view, the graceful curves and flowing arabesques of the staircase mirror the floral motifs found in the mosaics and stained-glass windows of the era. With one hand on the railing, we descend through the fluid, ornamental design, immersing ourselves in a dreamlike perspective—a true tribute to Horta’s architectural genius.
