Dior presents their new book Dior: Enchanting Gardens, highlighting the role of gardens and flowers in the life and work of Christian Dior.
Monsieur Dior cultivated a particular love of flowers, which surrounded him throughout his life and became a major source of inspiration right from the launch of the New Look – featuring the Corolle line – and the creation of his first perfume, Miss Dior. This new book, Enchanting Gardens, explores how nature was an essential, guiding element for the founding-couturier, as well as for each of his successors. Chapter by chapter, the gardens of Christian Dior’s private residences are revealed – from the Villa Les Rhumbs in Granville to the château de la Colle Noire in Montauroux, via the moulin du Coudret in Milly-la-Forêt.

The House’s iconic fragrances are also (re)introduced, along with a series of dresses inspired by this enduring fascination: from the femme-fleur silhouette dreamed up in 1947 to the most contemporary interpretations.
Precious archival documents are accompanied by pictures shot by renowned photographers such as Henry Clarke, Patrick Demarchelier, Brigitte Niedermair, and Paolo Roversi. A multifaceted celebration of the plant world masterfully reinvented from season to season, collection to collection.
