Dior’s iconic Medallion Chair, long a symbol of French elegance and a signature of the House since its earliest days, has been reimagined by Jonathan Anderson in a thoughtful dialogue between heritage and contemporary design.

Originally inspired by the refined lines of Louis XVI furniture and present in Dior’s very first boutique, Colifichets, the Medallion Chair stands as a quiet emblem of the maison’s enduring aesthetic. Anderson’s reinterpretation honors this legacy while introducing a fresh, nuanced sensibility.
Two distinct variations emerge from this collaboration. The first is upholstered in luminous moiré fabric, rendered in a palette of sophisticated tones that enhance the chair’s sculptural silhouette. The second offers a more poetic expression, adorned with intricate embroidery in the Romantic Flower motif, an evocative composition that brings a soft, pastoral charm to the piece.

Crafted from beech wood sourced and carved in the Vosges, each chair reflects an exceptional level of artisanal expertise. The result is a seamless fusion of tradition and innovation, where Dior’s decorative heritage is revisited through Anderson’s contemporary lens.
