Following its celebrated success in Paris at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and subsequent stops in London, Shanghai, Chengdu, New York, Doha, Tokyo, and Riyadh, the world-renowned Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition is coming to Seoul. From April 19 to July 13, 2025, visitors can experience this extraordinary showcase at the iconic Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP).
Curated by Florence Müller and designed by Shohei Shigematsu of the global architecture firm OMA, this new chapter celebrates more than 75 years of Dior’s visionary creativity. Through an immersive and breathtaking scenographic journey, the exhibition traces the remarkable evolution of the House of Dior — from the revolutionary New Look to its innovative contemporary reinventions.
A Journey Through Dior’s Legacy and Creative Spirit
The exhibition offers an unprecedented insight into the cherished themes that define Dior’s heritage: Christian Dior’s love for flowers and gardens, the exceptional craftsmanship of the Dior Ateliers, and his lifelong fascination with grand balls and unforgettable celebrations. Visitors will be enchanted by a curated selection of haute couture pieces, archival documents, and artistic collaborations with leading Korean contemporary artists, including HyunJoo Kim, Soo Sunny Park, and Zadie Xa.
Exclusive Korean Artistic Collaborations
For the first time, a dedicated space within the exhibition explores the reinterpretations of the iconic Lady Dior bag, crafted exclusively by renowned Korean artists. Nine unique creations are presented as part of the Dior Lady Art project, alongside seventeen exceptional pieces for the Lady Dior As Seen By series. These artistic collaborations further strengthen the powerful cultural ties between Dior and Korea.
