Champagne Lallier Unveils Réflexion R.021 Brut and Brut Rosé

Champagne Lallier introduces a new chapter in its Réflexions campaign with the unveiling of two new cuvées: R.021 Brut and, for the first time, R.021 Brut Rosé. This marks a new era for the brand, one that celebrates terroir, craftsmanship, and creative expression. It is brought to life with a collaboration with Belgian Ambassador Marie Trignon of La Roseraie (the renowned two-Michelin-starred restaurant in Wallonia, Belgium).

This launch embodies Lallier’s ambition to capture the movement of nature and showcase how the varying conditions of each harvest leave their mark on the expression of Réflexion. With the new R.021 Brut and the introduction of R.021 Brut Rosé, Lallier reaffirms its commitment to conveying the purest essence of Champagne terroir in every bottle.

Each Réflexion edition is primarily composed of grapes from the respective harvest year, reflecting the unique character of that year. At the same time, Lallier’s signature style of freshness, purity, depth, and intensity is maintained. The R.021 Brut and R.021 Brut Rosé are the first complete creations “from harvest to bottle” under the guidance of cellar master Dominique Demarville.

Both cuvées are presented in the iconic Lallier bottle that has embodied the house’s visual identity since R.020 Brut. Champagne Lallier R.021 Brut (RRP €42) and R.021 Brut Rosé (RRP €49) will be available from September 2025 through selected wine merchants and restaurants.

“Réflexions demonstrate our desire to reflect the terroir and the gifts of nature as purely and transparently as possible. Our philosophy is based on nature, authenticity, and curiosity.” – Dominique Demarville, cellar master

Meunier in Réflexion

By introducing Meunier, Dominique Demarville enriches the traditional blend and adds a new dimension to the champagnes. This grape variety, originating from the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne, brings fruitiness and roundness, adding complexity and depth that allow the champagnes to age gracefully over time.

“From R.021 Brut to the new R.021 Brut Rosé: each cuvée within the Réflexions range is largely composed of grapes from the same harvest year. Although the wines vary in grape varieties and style, each of our cuvées shares a common origin. They are like family members: each with its own character, but united by one vision; to translate the terroir of the year as purely and expressively as possible into the glass.” – Dominique Demarville, cellar master

The Réflexion blend is a dynamic process where Dominique consciously chooses to use only a limited proportion (maximum 30%) of reserve wines. By retaining a majority of wines from the harvest year in the blend, Dominique ensures the continuity of the Lallier style, imbued with the unique characteristics of the harvest.

“Réflexion is our signature cuvée, so it is the cuvée that represents us and our philosophy the most. What makes it curious though, is the fact that it’s a non-vintage cuvée. At Lallier, we don’t blend for consistency of taste, but we really try to highlight the specifics of the harvest – in this case, the 2021 harvest.” – Sarah Durand, global brand ambassador at Champagne Lallier

A Global Celebration of Craftsmanship and Terroir

The Réflexions program this year features an exceptional collaboration between British ceramist Olivia Walker and a collective of international chefs, united by a shared creative vision. This interdisciplinary collaboration highlights the unique influence of each harvest and celebrates how nature fuels the creative inspiration of both artisans and chefs.

Olivia Walker contributes to the artistic aspect with porcelain works inspired by the Champagne landscape. Her creations, such as the ‘Réflexion R.021 Diptych,’ depict the layers and elegance of the new cuvées.

“Nature is our muse. The vineyard and cellar teams preserve the character of the land, the artists translate it into form, and the chefs bring it to life on the plate. Réflexions is a collective ode to the terroir.” – Dominique Demarville, cellar master
