The evolution of Cartier’s eyewear icons continues with a new collection that evokes the Maison’s jewellery and watchmaking through exceptional craftsmanship and a contemporary design approach.
Clash Debut
Among the standout features of the season is the debut of the Clash de Cartier frames, which pay homage to the exquisite techniques of the jewellery collection, while appealing to a diverse audience drawn to timeless yet daring accessories. These frames play with the signature studs reminiscent of the hardware elements introduced by Jeanne Toussaint in the 1930s. The temples of the rimless frames, available in classic and innovative shapes, are adorned with intricate ribbed mesh motifs that reimagine Clash de Cartier’s picot studs and clou carrés as a tactile, three-dimensional embellishment. Each piece embodies the duality at the heart of the collection: refined and eccentric, classic, and avant-garde.

Santos Legacy
Another key theme is the ongoing progression of the Santos de Cartier concept, through increasingly elaborate and streamlined designs. Echoing the iconic watch launched in 1904 in honour of the celebrated aviator, the frames feature pilot and navigator styles enhanced by striking chromatic contrasts and distinctive screw details. The innovative structures – crafted from thin sheets of metal – are elevated by bilayer front sections and geometric temple tips that recall the contours of the watch case, while dual-tone finishes in gold and platinum lend an additional luminous touch.

Première Revival
The rich history and mastery of Cartier also resonate in the Première selection, influenced by the Maison’s first eyewear designs released in the 1980s. A blend of vintage flair and modern edge is showcased across four distinct executions, merging timelessness with contemporary trends.

Material Elegance
Emblematic motifs, such as the godron and C de Cartier, take centre stage, complemented by metal wire cores engraved with the godron pattern, visible through the temples of the transparent acetate variations. The range shifts from lightweight acetate styles, enriched with sleek temple tips inspired by the leather goods collection, to combi constructions and notable options featuring special temples sculpted from noble materials like horn and wood. Coloured lenses further enhance the allure of these bestselling models, including rimless frames with a stylish and effortless attitude.

Decor Sophistication
Completing the collection, the Décor C Classique proposal channels vintage elegance through modern rimless frames fitted with colourful lenses. Available in either gold or platinum finishes, the rectangular and oval models are adorned with finely engraved godron motifs along the temples, complemented by the Décor C detail on the hinges – an unmistakable symbol of timeless sophistication and exquisite savoir-faire.
