Breguet is giving fresh momentum to its Tradition collection, reinforcing one of the manufacture’s most distinctive pillars. Long considered a cornerstone of the house’s identity, the line remains one of the purest expressions of Abraham-Louis Breguet’s vision: technical ingenuity presented with striking architectural clarity.
The new additions include the Tradition 7037 and 7097, both marked by a retrograde small seconds display; the diamond-set Tradition 7038; and the Tradition 7067, which introduces a second time zone. Across the range, Breguet introduces a more contemporary feel through details such as Arabic numerals on select models, grand feu enamel dials, new movement finishes, and updated straps.
A Collection Built on Heritage
Since its launch in 2005, the Tradition collection has become a favorite among collectors for the way it brings the movement to the dial side, turning the watch into a fully visible mechanical composition. The design draws directly from Breguet’s historic souscription and tact watches, translating the founder’s ideas into a modern silhouette that feels both unmistakably classical and surprisingly current.
That balance between heritage and modernity is central to the new generation. Rather than reinventing the line, Breguet refines it, using contemporary materials and finishes to sharpen the visual impact while staying faithful to the codes that define the collection.
Tradition 7037
The Tradition 7037 is the most understated of the new releases, pairing a 38 mm white-gold case with hours, minutes, and a retrograde small seconds display. For the first time, the model features a fully blue movement, with a sandblasted mainplate, satin-brushed bridges, and a hand-engraved barrel cover.
Its dial side is particularly notable: a white gold base topped with white grand feu enamel, replacing the usual guilloché dial, while Arabic numerals replace Roman numerals for a sharper, more contemporary look. The watch is offered on a blue rubber strap with light grey stitching, with an additional white rubber option available.
Tradition 7067 GMT
The Tradition GMT 7067 brings a twin-time-zone function to the collection, with Local Time displayed on the main dial and Home Time on a smaller subsidiary display at 8 o’clock. A discreet day/night indicator at 10 o’clock completes the layout.
Its most eye-catching feature is the green gradient grand feu enamel dial, a highly demanding finish that shifts from pine green at the center to deep black at the edge. Breguet also offers the Home Time display with either Arabic or Eastern numerals, a rare nod to the brand’s historic commissions for clients in the Ottoman Empire and the Arab world.
Tradition 7038
The Tradition 7038 is the most elaborate of the series, combining haute horlogerie with gem-setting. Housed in a 37 mm rhodiumed white-gold case, it features a bezel set with 58 brilliant-cut diamonds, a jewel-set crown, and a black aventurine dial accented with silver powder markings.
This is the first Tradition model to use aventurine glass on the dial side, and the contrast with the deep black finishes of the movement gives the watch a dramatic, almost theatrical presence. A black satin strap and diamond-set buckle complete the look.
Tradition 7097
The Tradition 7097 takes a more restrained but equally refined route, introducing a white grand feu enamel dial and new movement finishes that heighten the contrast between the visible components. The barrel cover now appears in anthracite grey, while the gear train and balance wheel are finished in rose gold tones.
At 40 mm, the rose-gold case gives the watch a more substantial wrist presence, while the retrograde seconds display at 10 o’clock adds movement and symmetry. The result is a cleaner, more architectural interpretation of the Tradition concept, with a strong emphasis on texture, material contrast, and mechanical depth.
