Bowmore creates Bowmore ARC-54 in collab with Aston Martin

Bowmore, the oldest distillery on Islay, ushers in a new era with a refreshed brand identity and the prestigious launch of Bowmore ARC-54, the crowning achievement of its groundbreaking collaboration with Aston Martin. Of the only 130 bottles worldwide, just one is available in Belgium.

With a rich history dating back to 1779, Bowmore has always stood for craftsmanship, tradition, and layered character. Now, after more than 240 years, the company is transforming its visual world and brand experience. This reinvention, developed with an eye for timeless elegance, brings the distillery’s heritage into harmony with a contemporary look.

The new visual style is elegant and modern, featuring a refined color palette, contemporary typography, and streamlined design elements that embody the whisky’s depth and complexity. Every detail breathes Bowmore’s core values: time, precision, and expression.

Kirsteen Beeston, Marketing Director Bowmore:
“As custodians of this exceptional distillery, we feel a responsibility to preserve and showcase Bowmore’s authentic character. Out of respect for the past and with the ambition to honor the present, we have chosen a renewed brand experience where tradition and innovation come together. This is reflected in the new Sherry Oak Cask range, presented alongside the existing Bowmore collection in a contemporary style. In the future, we aim to redefine what it means to enjoy a glass of Bowmore — making every moment an immersive experience.”

Sherry Oak Collection

Bowmore’s transformation is not only reflected in the updated look of its existing range but also in a new exclusive boutique collection that captures the brand’s full flavor spectrum: the Bowmore Sherry Oak Collection. This series consists of four expressions, each matured in carefully selected European sherry casks.

  • Bowmore 12-Year-Old Sherry Oak Cask: A harmonious character with sweet spices, nutty notes, and smoldering smoke, interwoven with fruity and woody accents from the sherry casks.
  • Bowmore 15-Year-Old Sherry Oak Cask: Elegance and sweetness thanks to first-fill Oloroso casks; rich and smoky with a woody, fruity finish.
  • Bowmore 18-Year-Old Sherry Oak Cask: Dramatically layered yet balanced, first matured in Oloroso and then in Pedro Ximénez casks. Fresh sweetness with vibrant fruit notes atop Bowmore’s signature smoke.
  • Bowmore 21-Year-Old Sherry Oak Cask: An intense and complex character in perfect harmony, shaped by long maturation in carefully selected sherry casks.

This new vision goes beyond aesthetics; it is a renewed affirmation of Bowmore’s ambition to remain a leading icon in luxury single malt whisky for generations to come.

The Bowmore Sherry Oak Collection will launch in Belgium from June 2025. The core Bowmore range will gradually adopt the new house style throughout 2025.

The Grand Finale

As the crowning achievement of the Bowmore and Aston Martin partnership, the final edition in the prestigious ARC Series is being launched: Bowmore ARC-54.

This exceptional whisky, distilled in November 1968, matured for 54 years in a combination of 2nd Fill European Oak Sherry Butt and 3rd Fill American Oak Hogshead, deep in the historic No.1 Vaults. Inspired by the Golden Ratio — 61.8% European oak, 38.2% American oak — the two distillates were allowed to harmonize for 15 months.

The result is a whisky of unparalleled complexity and depth, with a rich palette of citrus, tropical fruit, caramelized nuts, floral notes, warming spices, and the iconic smokiness that defines Bowmore.

Dr. Calum Fraser, Master Blender at Bowmore:
“A Bowmore of this complexity and elegance is a tribute to the craftsmanship of our distillery team, but above all, it is proof of what is possible when we let time do its work. This rare creation perfectly demonstrates how Bowmore refines itself over decades, with unmatched precision and purity. Every drop is infused with the past, while also offering a vision for the future.”

Each hand-blown decanter is a work of art in itself, influenced by the aerodynamic forms of the Aston Martin Valkyrie, including the iconic venturi tunnels responsible for around 1,100 kg of downforce. These shapes are intertwined with the flowing lines of the Islay landscape.

The design reflects the precision and craftsmanship of Aston Martin and symbolizes the shared philosophy of both houses. The glass is designed as a ‘diffuser’ to visually enhance the dynamism and movement of the whisky.

Marek Reichman, Chief Creative Officer at Aston Martin:
“The Bowmore ARC-54 is a further deepening of our technology-driven collaboration. Like the Valkyrie and Valhalla, this decanter is the result of innovative thinking and boundary-pushing design. Instead of airflow, with ARC-54 we use the liquid movement of whisky to create a unique, organic form — a truly creative symbiosis.”

Exclusive in Belgium

Of the only 130 bottles worldwide, just one is available in Belgium.

The Bowmore ARC-54, with a recommended retail price of €81,000, will be on display throughout June and the beginning of July at the Rocco Forte Hotel Amigo in Brussels. This is a unique opportunity to admire this iconic collector’s piece up close, in an environment that itself stands for elegance and class.
