To kick off the end of the year festively, the chocolatier is launching a new, colorful collection, inspired by warm, fine childhood memories.
Benoît Nihant, a celebrated Belgian chocolatier, is known for his exceptional “bean-to-bar” process, carefully managing every step of chocolate production—from selecting the finest cocoa beans to crafting the finished delicacy. His commitment to quality ensures that each piece captures the distinct essence of its origin.
With a background in mechanical engineering and a career in the corporate world, Nihant ultimately followed his passion for chocolate. He honed his skills under the guidance of the prestigious Wittamer chocolatier before launching his own brand in 2005. His pursuit of excellence led him to secure a cocoa plantation in Peru and foster partnerships with small family-run farms in Central and South America, as well as Madagascar, focusing on ethical practices and environmental sustainability.
Located in Awans near Liège, Belgium, Nihant’s workshop is renowned for its unique approach, featuring vintage machinery such as a roaster from the 1950s and a 19th-century grinder. These heritage tools play a key role in developing the rich, complex flavors of his chocolates. His product range includes single-origin bars and pralines, each showcasing the distinctive terroir of the cocoa beans.
