Agape and Agapecasa introduces Massicci—an extraordinary glass washbasin designed by Marco Zito. Presented at Milan Design Week 2025, this sculptural piece challenges expectations and reimagines the expressive potential of solid glass, transforming a functional object into a powerful design statement.
Redefining glass
Massicci is a washbasin that redefines the limits of glass, balancing striking solidity with visual lightness. Designed by Marco Zito, whose journey began in the Murano glass furnaces, the piece is the result of two years of research and collaboration between designers, technicians, and master glassmakers.

Crafted for impact
Made from 18 kilograms of solid glass fused at over 1200 degrees, Massicci embraces the natural irregularities of its formation. These textures create a dynamic interaction with both light and water. Unlike blown glass, solid glass absorbs and refracts light, generating shifting reflections and an unexpected sense of depth.

Tribute to material
Massicci is a true homage to the expressive potential of glass, celebrating its raw beauty and power. The name, meaning “solid” and “authentic,” perfectly captures its essence—an elemental, powerful presence that bridges tradition and innovation. It reflects Agape’s ongoing commitment to material exploration.
