After nearly 50 years of running their salon with passion and dedication, Luc Boonen and Marleen Hasevoets officially passed the torch to their daughter Laure in January. The dynamic entrepreneur, now in her thirties, is no stranger to the loyal clientele. Over the past eight years, she has worked enthusiastically within the business, mastering the craft and preparing to lead the next era of hairstyling. However, the industry today is vastly different from when her parents first started.

What began at Leopoldplein has evolved into a prestigious salon on Sint-Truidersteenweg, where Luc and Marleen cultivated a reputation for expertise and craftsmanship. Today, Laure continues their legacy alongside her right-hand woman, Despina, and the talented mod’s hair team. However, like many in the industry, she faces the challenge of finding skilled and reliable staff. “One of our team members is soon going on maternity leave, and it took some time to find the right temporary replacement. Fortunately, I believe we’ve found the perfect fit. It’s always a challenge, but when everything falls into place, it’s a relief. Of course, we continue to invest in staff training to ensure our clients always receive the highest level of care.”
